Saucy Meatball Hoagies Recipes


  • 1 (18 ounce) can Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ fire roasted tomato cooking sauce
  • 24 frozen cooked meatballs
  • 4 hoagie buns, split
  • 1 cup shredded pizza cheese blend or mozzarella cheese
  • Garnishes, if Desired:
  • Green or red bell pepper, cut into thin strips (optional)
  • Thinly sliced sweet onion (optional)


  1. In 2-quart saucepan, heat cooking sauce and meatballs over medium heat about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly heated.
  2. Place each bun on serving plate. Fill each with 6 meatballs; spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons sauce over meatballs. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup cheese. Top with bell pepper and onion. Serve with remaining sauce as dipping sauce
